Like unshorn velvet, on that termless skin,

Into the Black is an upcoming VR game developed for the Oculus rift by a small team of the UK's National Film & Television Design students.

You act as a spirit guardian in the Yellowstone National Park, sent to help guide a red fox and a brown bear away from the park's chaotic forest fires and towards safety. Though a friendship between a bear and a fox is likely to end in one of them getting eaten by the other, for their survival they need to work together.

Throwing Yellowstone into chaos, the fire pushes the local inhabitants into the Druid Wolf pack's territory, but that's not all. Man ascends upon them all to take advantage of the disaster, pushing you and the animals further and further into the black.

Given the popularity Firewatch drew after its release, it's fairly easy to predict that comparisons will be made between the two games. Both are gorgeous, both are emotive, and hopefully Into the Black will stand its own ground when the comparisons are made. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the narrator (a vital component in games such as this) will be voiced by Nigel Barber (Spectre, Horizon Zero Dawn, etc.).

It's currently being developed for the Oculus Rift and is slated to release sometime next year. However for those attending EGX this year you could take a look at it ahead of time as the developers will be bringing Into the Black to the show.

For more information, check out their Facebook page here.
francoiscourson-art.comA CHARCOAL-BURNER carried on his trade in his own house. One day he met a friend, a Fuller, and entreated him to come and live with him, saying that they should be far better neighbors and that their housekeeping expenses would be lessened. The Fuller replied, "The arrangement is impossible as far as I am concerned, for whatever I should whiten, you would immediately blacken again with your charcoal."'"O pardon me in that my boast is true!

Four years after its mobile release, the fantasy-themed rhythm game Deemo has made its way to the Nintendo Switch, available for €30 / $30 worldwide.

Framed as a story of the titular pianist helping a mysterious girl reach home, Deemo presents the player with piano-themed musical gameplay, challenging you to touch and swipe on the screen in sync with the falling notes. The core gameplay may sound easy, but faster songs become a hectic test of reflex and reactions, especially on normal and hard difficulties.

Featuring over 200 musical pieces and a collection of whimsical imagery to tell its story, Deemo is a charming and challenging musical addition to your Switch library; you can purchase the game here. A future update will be adding controller and TV mode support.

You'll probably have see the new floating around a bit these past couple of days, but yes, Scott Cawthon is taking a break from the series.

Originally posted at the end of last week, and updated recently, Cawthon states that he was teasing what could have potentially been FNAF 6 but has decided to scrap the project after realising he doesn't want to do it anymore.

When talking about the potential FNAF 6, Cawthon said, "--after forcing myself to keep working on it day after day, I realized something- I just don’t want to work on this. With each game's release, I think the expectations get higher and higher for the next, and rightfully so. Each game SHOULD be better than the last! But that pressure starts to mount, and I fear that I've been neglecting other things in my life for the sake of trying to keep up with those mounting expectations."

Given his reputation as a bit of a misleading trickster, it's no wonder people are finding it hard to believe him this time around. But, in a 'Part 2' update he clears a few things up. Yes, the game is cancelled rather than 'on hold', yes he needs a break, and no he's not trolling.

So far he's looking into making something more lighthearted, so we'll see where his future projects take him...or, if he is in fact still trolling and we get trolled doubly I won't be mad at it.
