1、
He’s tried his luck besting the boss rush madness of Cuphead, trawled the sandy dunes of Assassin’s Creed Origins, and even hunted some orc in Shadow of War, but mobile publisher Netmarble is hoping that late night host Conan O’Brien will be anything but clueless as a new online promotional campaign celebrates the release of Lineage 2: Revolution.

Previously teased during last month’s Twitchcon, Conan is helping to promote the highly-anticipated Lineage 2: Revolution ahead of its launch this Wednesday. Conan’s no stranger to the world of gaming, regularly attracting laughs with his “Clueless Gamer” segment on his talk show. And now the CBS celebrity is set to feature in a two-part online video series, depicting how the long awaited MMORPG helps him wind down after a hard night’s hosting.

Developed in Unreal Engine 4, Lineage 2: Revolution sets out to immerse players in a beautifully realised world rendered using full 3D graphics. Boasting ambitious 30 versus 30 players real-time battles, Netmarble have created a robust online mobile network, which more than 1.5 million players around the world have already pre-registered for.

The two-part video series suggests Conan O’Brien is just as keen, with a bonus ‘behind-the-scenes’ video interview featuring himself awaiting anyone who downloads Lineage 2: Revolution at launch as part of the campaign.

Those hoping to gain exclusive rewards in-game will need to be quick, as pre-registration closes today. Thankfully Conan O’Brien’s done a great job at reminding us so far. Lineage 2: Revolution will be free to download from the Google Play and App stores from tomorrow.

4、
Oculus Connect 3 has really been bringing some exciting news forward this week, and none quite as interesting as Turtle Rock Studios' collaboration announcement as two titles are headed to Gear VR.

The developer of Left for Dead's move into VR is hardly surprising but their recent blunder with Evolve leaves us withholding our praises until the games are released. Both titles, Face Your Fears and Other Worlds, are set to launch later this month on the Oculus Store.

Other Worlds showcases three unique worlds as we step into a painting birthed from the mind of Justin Cherry. The environments provide beautiful, dark, and foreboding experiences which may reveal some random world-related events if you're exploring long enough. By incorporating the Gear VR's full 360-degree capability and three-dimensional sound, it certainly sounds intriguing enough to leave me tapping my fingers and waiting for some promotional images.

Face Your Fears speaks for itself. Due out on October 31st it's easy to believe that this will be a horror game based on your worst nightmares – like a Boggart, only right in front of your eyes without professor Lupin's divine protection.

"In Skyscraper, a player stands on the ledge of a skyscraper in the middle of a big city. When looking down, a giant robot is climbing up towards the player. In the Haunting, players experience the fear and excitement of being a little kid in bed in a room where things are not what they seem. What starts with a creaking house and distant thunder, crescendos into frightening moments that build up based on where the player is looking (or not looking)."

Luckily that's not everyone's fears, but it'll be interesting to see how Turtle Rock will fare in the switch to VR. The images are pretty much non-existent, but the one promotional image released shows an insidious-like demon hiding behind a creepy clown – though the graphics aren't the best.

Read the full release here.

- "Yes, with him--but not with other babies. Why, I looked after three pairs of twins, when I was a child, Susan. When they cried, I gave them peppermint or castor oil quite coolly. It's quite curious now to recall how lightly I took all those babies and their woes."

RuneScape developer Jagex announced today that is has raised and donated a whopping $250,000 for charity. This will be split equally between the developer's three partnered mental health charities: CPSL Mind, The Prince's Trust, and Rise Above the Disorder. The news arrived in a video posted to Jagex's official YouTube channel earlier today.

The money was raised as part of an in-game charity event that ran back in May during Mental Health Awareness Week. Proceeds from Solomon's General Store over those same seven days have also gone towards the total, which stands at over $100,000. This has been combined with an earlier donation from April for a grand total of $250,000.

"It's amazing and humbling to see RuneScape players being as supportive of our mental health charity partners as everyone at Jagex is," said Phil Mansell, Jagex CEO." The work of CPSL Mind, The Prince's Trust and Rise Above the Disorder is more important than ever right now and all three need all the support they can get to help people through these testing times and champion better mental health."
